As of the 2022 holiday season, we will not be taking international orders. Every holiday we encounter package losses that has caused our clients and ourselves frustration with in-country postal support. Once the New Year has passed, we'll revisit to see if the interest is there. If you are interested, please send us an email to support@3RedRovers.com with your interest in ordering from us and where you are located. We hope you can understand.

If applicable, please make sure to verify your pet's size for each individual item. And, if it's for a puppy, please order up. They usually outgrow items before it even arrives. Click here for Size Guides

Our products capture a spirit and a lifestyle
that starts in Sun Valley and extends to the
Mayan artisans of Guatemala.

What does that mean? We are more
than colorful hand woven belts,
dog collars and leads.

Come in and see. It’s worth a tailwag.

"In moments of joy, all of us wish we possessed a tail we could wag."
– W.H. Auden

a tail we could wag creates fun fashion accessories for pets and the people who love them. Founded in 1988, this line’s casual look, quality craftsmanship, brilliant color, and fun spirit is inspired by nature itself and a passion for the great outdoors. Two decades ago, it was a poem by W. H. Auden that really captured the essence of our company and led to our somewhat unusual name: “…in moments of joy, all of us wish we possessed a tail we could wag.”

In partnership with a small group of ethnic Mayan artisans in the highlands of Guatemala, we have created a look and feel that is not only unique but also helps support their small community. We take the color and texture of the hand-woven Mayan crafts, then assemble and finish the products in the U.S. for uncompromising quality and craftsmanship, delivering durable and colorfast products.

A Handwoven Partnership

The Mayan people of Guatemala suffered great losses during the most recent civil war. Many women were left to raise families on their own in a country already depressed. These artisans had few skills outside of their unique style of weaving that is passed on from generation to generation. Our partnership with them creates an opportunity for them to earn an income from their weaving skills while building community development and helping to increase self confidence and hope for themselves, their children, their families and their villages. They are the true heroes and the ones that make this all possible. We are only a portion of their success. As we work together we inspire each other, thus increasing business and the economic well being of the Mayan people.

We often hear that one of the main attractions of our products is the color and texture of the Mayan weave. We use both designs that are indigenous to Guatemala and those that have been created specifically for a tail we could wag, making our product line truly unique.

We have seen firsthand how this wonderful process works. After spending time with our partners and weavers, watching a new design being woven, and seeing the impact we have on the artisans’ lives, we are even more committed to ensuring our partnership thrives. It’s very rewarding to see how proud the Mayans are of their work and to be able to share in their success.
