We wanted to let you know that UPS and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) are negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement. If an agreement isn’t reached by August 1, there could be a potential UPS strike. You can get the latest information about these negotiations directly from UPS here.
We’re keeping an eye on the situation and update you as we learn more. In the meantime, we are wanting to prepare our customers for potential impact.
Fortunately we do not use UPS much, however, disrupted customers will divert their shipping to USPS and FedEx that are already having significant delays before this potential influx of packages.
However, most of our vendors use UPS, which will mean added days to our already longer delivery times for restock or new orders.
We will always try to choose the most reliable and quickest form of shipping for your items. But since there will be delays on receiving our items then possibly shipping them, we will do our best to keep you posted.
